Houston Mayor Appoints Fulbright Lawyer to Public Works Transition Committee

Houston Mayor Annise Parker has appointed associate Adrian Patterson as co-chair of the Public Works transition committee.

The purpose of the transition team is to assist the newly-elected mayor in understanding key issues involving the City's Public Works Department during the initial transition period as the mayor takes office. The Public Works transition committee will review the Public Works Department as well as assess the challenges and opportunities for future public works, flooding and drainage improvements.

Patterson practices in the area of public finance, acting as bond counsel, underwriters counsel and disclosure counsel. In addition, he represents political subdivisions with respect to numerous public law issues, including elections, the Open Meetings Act and the Public Information Act. He also serves as a member of the Firm's Political Action Committee.
